Data Collection

HEDNA is the sole owner of the personal information that may be collected on this site.  


HEDNA may collect information from you for internal use at several different points on our website.  For example, HEDNA may ask for your name, email address and other personal information when you request information, purchase products or services from HEDNA, register online for our meetings, or complete an online survey.  


HENDA will not sell or rent this information to third parties, except in cases where you have made a request of us and it is necessary to share information with third parties to comply with your request.

HEDNA may collect and use information that is gathered via cookies.  A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information associated with the user.  HEDNA may use cookie information when you make a purchase because it will help process the sale.  HEDNA may also use cookie information to determine which navigational menus, images and other information to display; or in a members-only area to verify your authorization or eligibility to access certain information.  Cookies may also be used to collect (non-personal) information that is sent from the HENDA website to your Web browser.  Note that session cookies are destroyed when a user closes the Internet browser and permanent cookies remain on the user's hard drive until manually deleted by clearing the cache.

Please note that the HEDNA website may contain discussion forums, message boards and other public or member based forums (referred to collectively as a "forum”). Please note that any comments and/or information that you provide in such a forum is (or may become) public and/or available to all members.  Please exercise caution when deciding to provide any information, including personal information, to a forum.  Although HEDNA tries to protect personally identifiable information, HEDNA cannot guarantee the privacy of any information that you provide to a forum; accordingly, any comment or information that you provide is provided solely at your own risk and discretion.  HEDNA is not responsible for maintaining the privacy or secrecy of any content or information provided, including but not limited to any passwords or account information that you may have disclosed.


Code of Conduct

HEDNA’s Code of Conduct shall apply to all forum and users should be aware that as a trade association HEDNA advise users to ensure that they do not engage in activities that can be interpreted as violating existing anti-trust or anti-competitive agreements.   When participating in a forum, the following topics are prohibited:  discussion of room rates, surcharges, conditions, market share, terms or prices of services, allocating or sharing of customers, refusing to deal with a particular supplier or class of suppliers or other competitively sensitive topics.  Additionally, disparaging remarks will not be tolerated.   Actions inconsistent with the foregoing will be considered violations of HEDNA’s Code of Conduct and HEDNA reserves the right to take whatever actions it deems necessary to ensure compliance or address a violation.


Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us, but due to legal and security matters that are beyond our control, we cannot guarantee that the information that you may provide to us, including personally identifiable information, is not disclosed to a third party.  HEDNA incorporates reasonable safeguards to protect the security, integrity, completeness, accuracy, and privacy of the personal information that we collect.  To assist in making the website secure, HEDNA may utilize industry standard safeguards that seek to protect the confidentiality of personally identifiable information, such as the use of firewalls and Secure Socket Layers (SSL).  HEDNA may also put in place precautions to protect information from loss, misuse, and alteration.  Only those HEDNA employees who need access to your information in order to do their job are allowed access.
