- You won’t have to wait for Fat Tuesday 2009 to enjoy a festive Mardi Gras-style evening in the heart of Bourbon Street. The Mardi Gras ambience starts as we strut behind a jazz band on the way to our destination, Bourbon Vieux at the corner of Bourbon and St. Louis streets. On the second floor of Bourbon Vieux, you’ll find an array of glorious New Orleans dishes, including Flaming Bananas Foster, a full bar, and the biggest balcony in the French Quarter. We’ll be entertained by magicians, palm and tarot card readers, a jazz band and caricature artists. Don’t forget to grab your Mardi Gras beads and toss them to onlookers below – a true Fat Tuesday tradition.
