Unique Global Identifiers (UGIs) for the Hospitality Industry

A world wide identification standardization project has been initiated to develop and deploy a public domain solution for the hospitality industry.
We believe in the free exchange of information within our industry and want to add value to increase the flow of trade and revenue on a global basis.

Please reference the following UGI information for more details

Group Committee

Online group distribution is one of the most widely untapped markets in the hotel industry today. The Group Committee enables attendees to interact face-to-face with online group market leaders and develop the tools to enact new, internal strategies for their organizations.

UGI Committee

The UGI committee has re-launched an idea of a unique global identifier (UGI) that would be used by our industry to leave footprints on transactions, such as sell/stay, content, financial, etc, and promote seamless and open identification allowing everyone to track and identify the different entities that touched transactions throughout their life cycle.

Standards Forum

The Standards Forum is focused on bringing issues forward and shaping industry standards as they relate to business processes, connectivity and content. The group is currently reviewing a variety of content related initiatives to ensure that content is presented in a structured format among the various distribution channels. There is always a healthy dialogue about industry issues—or perceived issues—that result in either a reminder of the current processes in place or a revision of those processes to address the changing environment. This forum is educational and provides attendees with a number of initiatives to become involved in shaping new standards for the industry.
